
Jay Huffstatler is the Executive Director of the OnPath Foundation, the philanthropic branch of OnPath Credit Union. Before joining the OnPath Foundation, Jay held various leadership positions, including Director of Development at CrescentCare, Chief Advancement Officer at New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, Senior Development Officer at Tulane University Law School, and Chief Development Officer for Louisiana and Mississippi at the American Red Cross. While at the Red Cross, he was part of the National Advanced Public Affairs Team, graduated from the National Red Cross Leadership and Educational Development Program, and facilitated the Managing an Inclusive Workforce training course.
Prior to his work with the Red Cross, Jay was Chief of Staff for the BP Gulf Coast Restoration Organization’s Community Relations team with James Lee Witt Associates, where he led efforts across the five Gulf States and managed government claims in Mississippi and Florida following the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.
Jay is currently the Board President of the Gulf South LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Communications Committee for the Association of Fundraising Professionals New Orleans Chapter Board of Directors, and Co-Chairman of National Philanthropy Day. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, Forum for Equality, and CrescentCare. He is a member of the Supplier Diversity Committee for the Super Bowl LIX Host Committee, the New Orleans and Company Procurement Council, and the Jefferson EDGE Steering Committee. Jay has been recognized in Biz New Orleans Magazine’s 2025 New Orleans 500 and graduated from the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute Class of 2022.
A native of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Jay resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and an Associate of Arts Degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2011. Jay has also received a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) certification through the National Credit Union Foundation.
